Brittany and Garrett were married at the beautiful Lange Farm in Dade City. Talk about a great property to get married!!! It’s a photographer’s dream because there are so many beautiful spots for photos. As you can see, we even got the horses to cooperate a little for the photos:).

The couple has been dating since high school, and you can see right away that they are perfect for one another. Brittany had the idea of blindfolding Garrett before the ceremony, where she became a little emotional at seeing her husband-to-be. It was a really cute idea and a nice alternative to doing the typical shot behind the door.

Kelly and John were married at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Clearwater.  Although they live in Illinois, we shot their engagement shoot when they came down to scout out their wedding venues. We hit it off right away and couldn’t wait for their wedding to happen.  I think they chose the perfect venue.

There was a little concern that the weather might not hold up and we would be forced inside for the ceremony. Luckily it stayed dry, and we were actually able to get some nice soft light. The weather was warm, but not too bad for this time of year.

The reception was held outside as well, but we were eventually forced indoors when the weather decided it was time to rain.   I’ve learned rather quickly that you have to always be on your toes when it comes to the weather out here. Regardless, everyone had a fantastic time. Here are a few of our favorite images:

Nicole and Martin were married at the beautiful Tradewinds Island Grand Resort. This property is one of my favorites. The rooms were a nice size, the ceremony site was beautiful, and I especially love the reception pavilion. It’s a huge area, but it is absolutely gorgeous.

We met Nicole and Martin at an expo several months back. After communicating via email several times, they drove over to the expo from Orlando just to see us.  That was a huge honor for us:)  Martin has a love for sports just like mine, even though he cheers for the Dolphins instead of the Bucs. Fortunately, I don’t hold that against him, lol.

The wedding was beautiful on their wedding day. It was hot, but it wasn’t full Florida summer hot. Believe me, I’m not in a hurry for that!  I loved Martin’s reaction watching Nicole walk down the aisle. It truly is a memorable experience watching your bride walk down the aisle, After having the grand entrance and first dance, we snuck back to the beach to get some sunset shots. Although I love shooting all parts of a wedding, sunset photos are my favorite.  I think we got some great shots of a beautiful couple. Congratulations Nicole and Martin!

Summer is here. I know it may not technically be summer yet, but Angela and Scott’s wedding gave me all the proof I need that it is no longer spring.  Thankfully, with this being my second full year in Florida, I am starting to get a little more used to the Florida heat. Angela and Scott are from Colorado, so I think I definitely had an advantage over them, lol.

The wedding took place at the beautiful Sanibel Harbour Marriott on Sanibel Island. It was about a 3 hour drive for me, but since I’ve lived a majority of my life on an island, I actually don’t mind long drives at all. The location was absolutely beautiful, as they had their own little private beach, as well as a beautiful pier to take some pictures. They were such great sports about getting in the water, as well as dangling their feet off the edge of the pier. I think we got some pretty cool shots as a result:) Here are just a few of our favorites:
