Wednesday weddings don’t come around too often, but if you want to know a secret about wedding photographers: we LOVE weekday weddings. Since the majority of our weddings are on Saturday and last I checked there are only 52 of those in a year, a weekday wedding is kind of like working overtime for us (too bad we don’t get time and a half, lol). Â A lot of people I know will ask “why would anyone get married on a Wednesday?”, to which I explain that if it’s a destination wedding and all the guests are from out of town, it makes no difference what day of the week the wedding is on.
We made the 3 hour drive to Marco Island, and literally as soon as she opened the door we both knew we were going to love this couple. Jess was so sweet, and there was such a great vibe that came from her and everyone in her room. Of course it doesn’t hurt that they were all gorgeous! Â We knew right away this was going to be a great wedding.
Jess gave me a warning that her soon to be husband was no fan of picture taking. He’s a super nice guy, but he has just never enjoyed taking pictures.  Luckily, we’ve had some experience with grooms that don’t like cameras, so we had to use a couple tricks to have him more comfortable. He took a little while, but by the end of the day we got some great photos of him, all with minimal complaining, lol.
